It was around 2012 when I first learned what homeschooling is all about. By then, my two daughters were already in grade school. However, my son was only one year old and my hubby and I were already thinking about our options regarding sending him to school when the right time comes.
Luckily, The Learning Basket organized a seminar about homeschooling preschoolers so I took that opportunity to learn more about the topic. By then, I had already learned about homeschooling through websites and other blogs but I wanted to learn more through parents who have done it themselves.
I learned so much in that one session and it pretty much sealed the deal for us that we would at least try to homeschool our son during his preschool years. Not only did I learn how to start homeschooling my son, I also learned that, as parents, we are our child’s first and best teacher and that we should take the opportunity of homeschooling to bond as a family. I learned that the world is a child’s best classroom and that every moment is a learning opportunity.
I highly recommend this seminar to all parents who are considering to homeschool their preschooler. For those who of you who live in the South of Manila, you’d be happy to know that The Learning Basket will now be taking their Starting Your Preschool Homeschool workshop to the South on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Menlo Clubhouse, BF Homes, Paranaque City.
